Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has a strong, athletic frame with room for an additional 10 pounds of muscle mass.
- A fluid mover capable of creating some separation over the middle of the field, Lachey has the long arms and soft hands to provide a sizable catch radius.
- Lachey has a tapered build and strong hands, ripping the ball back with ease when defensive backs manage to get a hold of it.
- Soft hands. Flashes good to very good tracking and overall body control to make catches outside of his frame.
- Thriving on physicality, he’s a contested-catch specialist with a knack for warding off defenders while the ball is in the air. He has strong hands and the ability to wrestle the ball away from defenders.
- Lachey fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- A glider, moves faster than Lachey appears but lacks the top-end speed to be a real threat down the seam.
- He’s a work in progress as a blocker, often playing too high and getting overpowered at the point of attack.
- Lachey also lacks suddenness as a route runner, and that is a potential issue at the next level.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
