Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Cox flashes power and nastiness in the run game, able to win at the point of attack and athletic enough to get out as a pulling blocker before landing blocks on the move at the second level.
  • He does a nice job working with teammates to build the pocket, anchoring against bull rushers and displaying good awareness against stunts and twists.
  • Technician as a pass protector, playing with a wide base and very good balance. He has heavy hands, but more impressively, Cox is consistent with his kick slide and shows impressive lateral movement.
  • Fires out of his stance with a good pad level, consistently winning at the point of attack.
  • Has the functional strength to hold up against the bull rush, and he shows exceptionally quick and precise hands.
  • An agile mover who puts his length to good use, using his hands aggressively and landing solid initial punches. Cox can move to the second level as a run blocker, with the coordination and balance to hit moving targets.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Has only average measurable with limited arm length and no overpowering qualities.
  • Can struggle to stay engaged, especially on the second level. His hand placement can be sloppy, costing him power.
  • Is a bit underpowered, often coming off the line of scrimmage too high and struggling to generate movement. Cox might be no more than a wall-off, angle blocker.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
