After high school, Jibunor joined Auburn after being heavily recruited.In 2018 as a freshman Jibunor saw action in 5 games and played a total of 53 snaps for the Tigers. He recorded just 5 tackles, no assists, while adding 6 stops. As a pass rusher, he added 8 total pressures, which included 3 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 3 sacks on the season.
After season's end Jibunor transferred to Troy where as a sophomore for the Trojans in 2020 Jibunor played 11 games and took part in 443 snaps for the Trojans. He recorded 18 tackles, 10 assists, while adding 15 stops. In coverage Jibunor made no pass breakups, no interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 64.6. Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has very good playing speed and is fast in pursuit, chasing down the action with a closing burst. Coordinated and looks natural in space.
- A dynamic edge rusher, Carraway has NFL-caliber quickness and speed. Jibunor gets off the snap quickly and has the flexibility to bend the edge and the pure speed to close on the quarterback.
- Accelerates rapidly and has a great feel for angles. Jibunor isn’t huge, but Jibunor packs a pop.
- He’s a natural in coverage, with the movement skills of a defensive back in man coverage against tight ends.
- Can attack the edge with speed and has the flexibility to dip low and under the tackle's reach.
- Ferocious against the run and very good in coverage, is extremely versatile. Despite his build, he holds up well in traffic and makes a lot of plays by engaging a block, shedding, and pursuing.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Lacks functional strength in the pass rush, struggling to disengage and too easily pushed past the pocket.
- While Jibunor moves well laterally, he doesn’t always get there in pursuit.
- Lacks fluidity to hold up in space or drop in coverage. Washed out and caught in traffic in the middle of the field.
