Draft Profile: Bio
Daniel Calhoun was a four-star tackle and All-American Bowl selection at Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia, after transferring from Centennial. 247Sports ranked him No. 123 nationally and the eighth-best tackle in the 2024 class, and Walton went 14-1 and reached the Class 7A final. His brothers, Vincent and Chris, play on the offensive line at Minnesota and the defensive line at Wake Forest.Calhoun appeared in three games during his 2024 redshirt season. A foot injury in the spring of 2025 kept him out about three weeks, and he then made eight appearances as a reserve that fall.
Calhoun has been a backup guard this season, listed second at left guard and third at right guard. He has logged 63 snaps in five games without giving up a pressure. He played 29 snaps in the opener against Tennessee State, his most in any game this season.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Clean pass-protection record over 63 snaps this season
- Former four-star tackle from a top Georgia program
- Can play guard or tackle, giving him lineup flexibility
- Comes from a family of college linemen, including two brothers
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Backup role, with only 63 snaps this season
- Still looking for his first career start in college
- Drew a penalty in the opener against Tennessee State this season
- Ordinary straight-line speed, with a forty in the average band
- Foot injury cost him part of spring practice in 2025
Scouting Report: Summary
Calhoun is a former four-star recruit who has been a reserve on Georgia's deep offensive line. He has the size and background to play guard or tackle, and he has been clean in protection in limited snaps. However, he has never started a game, and he has played only 63 snaps this season. His athletic testing is ordinary, and he remains unproven against SEC competition.
Overall, Calhoun is a developmental lineman whose college resume is thin. He projects as a priority free agent, though staying in Athens to chase a starting job seems the likelier path.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
