A DMV native who played at national power St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Farooq totaled 87 tackles, five interceptions and three forced fumbles as a senior and earned an Under Armour All-America invite, picking Tennessee over Ohio State as a three-star. He worked into the secondary and grew into a takeaway-hunting presence on the back end.In 2025 Farooq forced four fumbles to go with two interceptions and two pass breakups across thirteen games, adding 56 tackles as a downhill safety.
