Baugh made an immediate impact as a freshman at Florida in 2024, announcing himself with a five-touchdown game against Kentucky.As a sophomore in 2025 he carried the Gators backfield, running for 1,168 yards and eight touchdowns with spotless ball security and adding 33 catches, then closing the regular season with a 264-yard eruption against Florida State.
He returned as a junior in 2026 and opened at a Heisman-contender pace, leading the SEC in rushing through the first month at better than eight yards per carry with multiple touchdowns in every game.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Lead-back frame put to lead-back use, with no fumbles on 254 touches in 2025.

However, the receiving menu is swings and screens with little route development, his wiggle in tight quarters is ordinary, and the blitz pickup is willing but unschooled, which keeps him from a true three-down projection today.Overall, Baugh is a starting-caliber early-down back with a rare, no-fumble workhorse foundation for a true sophomore, but the passing-game polish is what unlocks the rest. A dominant, SEC-leading start to 2026 has only firmed the case, and he projects as a starting-caliber lead back, with the ceiling of a featured every-down runner and the floor of a committee early-down back.
