Draft Profile: Bio
Jaray Bledsoe was a four-star recruit and Under Armour All-American out of Texas, rushing for 1,259 yards and 21 touchdowns and making 104 tackles as a junior. He also competed in the shot put and basketball, and he picked Texas over Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Oregon. He was ruled ineligible as a senior after changing high schools.

Bledsoe redshirted at Texas in 2022 and played in 11 games over the next two seasons, making seven tackles, before transferring to Mississippi State. He played in all 13 games with four starts in 2025, making 28 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Now a redshirt senior and the starting nose tackle, Bledsoe has had his most productive season. He forced a fumble against Alabama, had a sack in the loss to Oklahoma on 24 October and added a sack and a forced fumble at Texas on 31 October.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Massive frame that eats double teams in the middle
  • Sacks against Oklahoma and his former team, Texas
  • Has forced two fumbles, against Alabama and at Texas
  • Finally producing after a slow start to his career at Texas
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Missed four tackles this season, two of them against Missouri
  • Lacks the range to chase plays outside the tackle box
  • First year as a full-time starter after four seasons in reserve
  • Pass rush relies on power, with 13 pressures in eight games
  • Plays limited snaps, topping 50 only once this season
Scouting Report: Summary
Bledsoe has grown into a disruptive nose tackle in his second season at Mississippi State. His size makes him hard to move, he eats double teams and he has taken the ball away, with forced fumbles against Alabama and Texas and sacks against Oklahoma and Texas.

However, his range is limited, he missed tackles against Missouri, and his pass rush relies on power. He has only one season as a full-time starter and plays a limited number of snaps.

Overall, Bledsoe is a powerful early-down nose tackle whose production is finally matching his recruiting profile. He projects as a priority free agent who could earn a role as a rotational run stuffer.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
