Draft Profile: Bio
Wyatt Milum from Spring Valley High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Milum opted to join West Virginia.

In 2021 as a freshman Milum saw action in 12 games and played a total of 621 snaps for the Mountaineers. He allowed 10 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 3 sacks while playing at right tackle.

As a sophomore in 2022 he played in 12 games and a total of 851 snaps. He conceded 14 QB hurries, one QB hit, and no sacks while playing at left tackle.

In 2023 as a junior Milum saw action in 11 games and totaled 696 snaps. He gave up 8 QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing most of his snaps at left tackle.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Plays with natural leverage and has the strength to anchor against the bull rush. Milum also packs a violent initial punch that can stand up pass rushers.
  • Tall with long arms, Milum has exceptional length and is a violent, aggressive, and precise puncher who can redirect pass rushers.
  • Lone concern is handling the superquick NFL edge rusher. Foot speed and quickness are very good, but not elite.
  • In the run game, he plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Milum can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space.
  • Has a strong, flexible core, and the ability to absorb and anchor against the bull rush as a pass protector.
  • Has the agility, technique, and size to contribute early in his professional career. Quick, active hands to latch on to defenders.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Attacks when necessary, though Milum won't consistently dominate and can lose balance overextending.
  • Often simply tries to push pass rushers past the pocket. Milum can also look a bit hesitant when it comes to recognizing and reacting to twists, stunts and blitzes up front.
  • While he moves well in the run game, he’s not an elite athlete and doesn’t have the potential to stick at left tackle in the NFL.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
