Run blocking grade scores what a lineman does on running plays: winning at the point of attack, climbing to the second level, sustaining and finishing. It is the trait most likely to translate immediately, since it depends more on strength and technique than on the speed of the pass rush. Quenton Nelson (Notre Dame) and Brandon Scherff (Iowa) were both dominant run blockers in college.
