2028 BEST RATED SHORT PASSING QUARTERBACKS
Short passing covers throws of nine yards or less past the line of scrimmage: quick game, screens, flats and checkdowns. The grade scores accuracy, ball placement and decision-making on those throws, which make up roughly half of a modern college offense. Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma) and Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama) were both near-perfect in this range, and it carried over to the league.
