QUARTERBACKS WITH THE QUICKEST RELEASE 2028 NFL Draft

2028 QUARTERBACKS WITH THE QUICKEST RELEASE

Release measures average time from snap to throw. A quick release is partly mechanics and partly processing: a quarterback who knows where the ball is going before the snap gets it out before the rush arrives. Dan Marino (Pittsburgh) and Aaron Rodgers (California) were both known for it in college, and both were sacked far less than their offensive lines deserved.

The table ranks this year’s draft-eligible quarterbacks by release, alongside short, medium and long passing grades, rushing and scrambling, and overall rating. Faster is better here, and the number is best read together with the passing grades rather than on its own.
