2028 QUARTERBACKS BEST AT THROWING DEEP
Long passing covers throws of twenty or more yards downfield. The grade rewards accuracy and touch on those throws and penalises the turnover-worthy ones, so a quarterback who chucks it deep and hopes does not score well. Patrick Mahomes (Texas Tech) and Joe Burrow (LSU) were both exceptional deep passers in college, in very different offenses.
The table ranks this year’s draft-eligible quarterbacks by long passing grade, alongside short and medium passing grades, release, rushing and scrambling, and overall rating.
