Back-to-back Class 5A Mr. Football awards capped Bishop's career at Karns High School in Knoxville, where he ran for 8,347 yards, second-most in Tennessee high school history, with 102 rushing touchdowns. He joined Tennessee as a preferred walk-on in 2023, redshirted that fall after a preseason injury and was placed on scholarship in January 2025.In 2024 Bishop carried 74 times for 455 yards and three touchdowns while backing up Dylan Sampson, and his 6.15 yards per carry ranked among the best marks by FBS freshmen with at least 70 attempts.
Bishop took over the lead role in 2025, starting all 12 regular-season games and rushing 182 times for 1,076 yards with a team-high 16 touchdowns, making him the third straight Tennessee back to clear 1,000 yards in a season.
