Scouting Report: Strengths
- A very quick and very confident cover corner plays bigger than his listed size when lined up in press coverage, delivering quick, surprisingly powerful punches and using his natural quickness and change-of-direction ability to mirror on underneath routes.
- Shows the click-and-close ability to backpedal and the ball skills to make plays. Jackson has loose hips to go along with good top-end speed, and Jackson can flip around to turn and run in coverage.
- Instinctive, adept at reading routes and anticipating throws, and strong in zone coverage.
- Changes directions with ease and has the frame to hold up at any spot in the secondary.
- Good instincts and anticipation reads and reacts with discipline. Dangerous with the ball in his hands.
- Has the recovery speed to make up for mistakes early in the down. Jackson tracks the ball well downfield and has the ball skills and easy leaping ability to high-point the ball and come down with the interception.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Holds the ball loosely. Inconsistent in run support. Average tackler
- He’ll draw plenty of flags early on with his playing style. Jackson is hesitant when facing the action in zone coverage.
- Susceptible to the big plays as a gambler at the catch point and as a catch-and-run victim. He’s also too reluctant to come up and make hits in run support, often focusing on the strip more than the tackle.
