Draft Profile: Bio
Virgin-Morgan developed into one of the Mountain West's most productive pass rushers at Boise State. He broke out in 2024 with a 10-sack season, then followed it with a strong 2025, recording six sacks, 13 tackles for loss and 56 tackles while earning second-team All-Mountain West honors.

Though his sack total dipped from 2024, he was more disruptive on tape than the sack total suggested, and his 36 pressures and two forced fumbles reflected steady work off the edge. He also handled a heavier all-around workload, mixing snaps as a stand-up rusher and off the line.

A 6-foot-3, 260-pound edge, Virgin-Morgan enters his final season with 16 career sacks, 31 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, and lands on the Lombardi Award watch list as Boise State moves into the Pac-12, where he carries all-conference expectations as a three-down edge.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Rare size for an edge-linebacker hybrid with the speed to match at 260 pounds
  • Fluid and comfortable dropping into coverage for a player his size
  • Spark plug against the run who sets a firm edge and forces the ball inside
  • Chase-and-finish motor that shows in 34 run stops and two forced fumbles
  • Versatile chess piece who lines up on the ball, off it and over the slot
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Pass rush is his weakest trait, with more effort than plan off the edge
  • Built most of his production against Mountain West competition
  • Managed just two pressures across his two Power Four matchups
  • Tackling consistency wavers when he arrives out of control
Scouting Report: Summary
A versatile, oversized edge-linebacker hybrid at Boise State, Virgin-Morgan offers a rare blend of size and movement, with the fluidity to drop into coverage and the motor to chase down runs at 260 pounds. He sets a firm edge, forces the ball back inside and finishes plays, and his positional flexibility lets a defense line him up on the ball, off it and over the slot.

However, his pass rush is his weakest tool, leaning on effort rather than a plan, and the production came largely against Mountain West competition; in his two games against Power Four lines he managed just two pressures, a real caution flag that the level of competition inflated his tape. His tackling consistency also wavers when he arrives out of control.

Overall, Virgin-Morgan projects as a developmental sub-package and special-teams contributor whose size, coverage comfort and versatility are the draw, with the pass-rush role and level of competition the questions he has to answer at the next level. He fits a multiple defense that can move him around and hide him from a full-time rush role early, and a team that values a big, rangy chess piece will take the developmental swing. The size and versatility are worth a late flier, but he is a projection, not a plug-and-play piece.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
