Draft Profile: Bio
A rare five-star out of Massachusetts, Aguero was the No. 1 recruit in his state at St. John's Prep in Lynn and the No. 32 overall prospect in his class, reportedly turning down significant NIL money to develop at Georgia. He worked into the Bulldogs' secondary against elite competition in a pro-style program.

In 2025 Aguero recorded 30 tackles, an interception and thirteen run stops across twelve games, holding up evenly in man and zone without an obvious hole. He saved his best game for Tennessee with an interception and four stops, but blank outings like the one against Georgia Tech kept the playmaking from taking off, leaving the recruiting ranking ahead of the production for now. The five-star billing and plus range keep the projection alive, and the pro-style development at Georgia gives a defense a tools-based flier on the back end.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Track-fast range with the burst to drive on throws underneath
  • Defense against the run is solid from a slot and big-nickel role
  • Stoned Tennessee and Ole Miss for four run stops apiece
  • Physical at 205 pounds covering the slot and supporting the run
  • Diagnoses route concepts and triggers downhill into the run quickly
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Gives up his share in coverage, with reps left on the field
  • Short at 71 inches for the deep-safety role
  • Takeaway production is light, with one interception on the year
  • A wrist injury cost him the entire postseason run
Scouting Report: Summary
Aguero is a fast, physical big-nickel safety whose run defense and downhill burst anchor a slot-and-box role, a 205-pounder who stoned Tennessee and Ole Miss for four stops apiece. He drives on throws underneath, reads route concepts, and triggers downhill quickly to support the run. The speed, the physicality, and the slot-coverage versatility give him a projectable sub-package identity, and the experience on a top defense is a point in his favor.

The coverage and the frame are the limiters. His leaves throws on the field in coverage with reps left on the field, at 71 inches he is short for a deep-safety role, and his ball production is light with one interception. A wrist injury cost him the postseason. He is a downhill, slot-leaning safety whose deep coverage and ball production are the development areas rather than the strengths.

He fits as a developmental big nickel and box safety who covers the slot, fits the run, and tackles, a Day 3 contributor now headed to a new program. The modest coverage and the short frame keep the grade measured, but the speed and the physicality are bankable. He grades as a sub-package safety best deployed near the line and over the slot, close to the line of scrimmage in a sub-package role.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
