Draft Profile: Bio
Madden Sanker from South Paulding High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Sanker opted to join Louisville.

In 2023 as a freshman Sanker saw action in just one game and played a total of 8 snaps for the Cardinals. He allowed no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing sparingly.

As a sophomore in 2024 he played in just 2 games and a total of 22 snaps. He conceded no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing most of his snaps at left guard.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Does a nice job on the second level, moving upfield quickly and showing the flexibility and balance to land blocks in space.
  • Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move.
  • Sanker will have a chance to develop as a right tackle or possibly inside at guard, where Sanker could be an interesting prospect for a zone-blocking team. If nothing else, that versatility is enough to make him at least a quality reserve.
  • He’ll consistently finish blocks, dropping on defenders when he has them on the ground. Sanker shows good awareness reacting to twists and stunts as a pass protector, and he has the strength to anchor against bigger defensive linemen.
  • Outstanding on reach blocks, showing good initial quickness and flexibility to seal the backside. He’s a heady player who is quick to recognize and react to twists and stunts up front, and he shows a good sense of timing on combo blocks.
  • He's infinitely coachable and athletically gifted with the ideal frame, physique, weight distribution, knee bend and hand strength to be molded into a special blocker.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Sanker often sets too tall, which will be problematic against NFL speed-to-power rushers. He’s a bit underpowered in the run game, often coming off the ball too high and failing to play with proper leverage.
  • Has fairly heavy feet, struggling to mirror against quicker defenders. Sanker lacks the range to get out as an effective puller, and Sanker can often look stiff when moving out into space and zeroing in on bodies.
  • He’s a bit underpowered the more he has to move in the run game, better in a phone booth than out in space.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
