Draft Profile: Bio
Reed Harris was the top prospect in Montana for the 2023 class, a quarterback at Great Falls High School who moved to receiver as a senior and also lettered in basketball. He became one of the first Montanans to play in the ACC when he signed with Boston College.

After a quiet first year, Harris emerged as a deep threat in 2024, averaging 28.6 yards per catch on 17 receptions with four touchdowns. He became the Eagles' top target in 2025, setting career highs with 39 catches for 673 yards and five touchdowns, including a 142-yard game against Georgia Tech, despite a 2-10 season.

Harris transferred to Arizona State in January as one of the top receivers in the portal and has been among the nation's most productive receivers since. He caught nine passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns at No. 10 Texas A&M and has 26 catches for 499 yards and five scores through four games.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Huge 6-foot-5, 220-pound target who wins above defenders at the catch point
  • Vertical threat first, averaging 28.6 yards per catch in 2024 and nearly 20 this fall
  • Strong hands, without a drop in 2025 and one so far in 2026
  • Won more than half of his 25 contested targets in 2025
  • Gains real yardage after the catch for his size, 192 yards after the catch this fall
  • Former quarterback who reads coverage and settles in soft spots
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Short-area routes trail his vertical game; slower in and out of breaks underneath
  • Boom-or-bust at Boston College, with under 55 yards in nine of 12 games in 2025
  • Three interceptions came on throws his way in 2025
  • Eligibility remaining, so a return to Tempe for another season is possible
Scouting Report: Summary
Harris has gone from Montana's top recruit to a 2-10 Boston College team to one of the most productive receivers in the country in less than a year at Arizona State. He is a massive target at 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, and he uses his size and ball skills to win downfield, with an average of nearly 20 yards per catch this fall and a 189-yard, two-touchdown day at Texas A&M that announced his arrival. His quarterback background helps him read coverage and find soft spots, and he has caught nearly everything thrown his way, with just one drop this season.

However, he is still developing as a route runner. His quickness in and out of breaks is average for an outside receiver, which limits his effectiveness on short and intermediate routes, and his production at Boston College was boom-or-bust, with fewer than 55 yards in nine of 12 games. It remains to be seen how he fares against physical NFL press coverage.

Overall, Harris is an ascending big-bodied receiver with real starting upside. He projects as a third-round receiver with the tools to become a starting X and red-zone weapon, and even his downside, a big-bodied fourth receiver, has value. He also has eligibility remaining, so a return to Tempe is possible.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
