Draft Profile: Bio
Nick Marsh grew up in Detroit and played at River Rouge High School, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track. He posted back-to-back all-state seasons and finished his senior year with 41 catches for 718 yards and eight touchdowns. A consensus four-star recruit ranked as the top wide receiver in Michigan, Marsh was rated No. 107 nationally by 247Sports and selected for the U.S. Army Bowl before signing with Michigan State.Marsh set Michigan State true freshman records with 41 receptions and 649 receiving yards in 2024. His breakout came in Week 2 at Maryland, where he caught eight passes for 194 yards including a 77-yard touchdown, earning national freshman of the week honors. He finished fourth among FBS true freshmen in receiving yards that season.
As a sophomore in 2025, he led the Spartans in receptions (59), yards (662), and touchdowns (6), earning honorable mention All-Big Ten. He reached 100 career catches and 1,000 career yards before entering the transfer portal and committing to Indiana, where he joins the defending Big Ten champions with two years of eligibility remaining.

Traits have never been the question with Nick Marsh. A 6-foot-3 boundary receiver with plus speed, he led Michigan State with 662 yards and six scores as a sophomore before transferring to Indiana, and the flashes against Big Ten defenses, including 85 yards at Maryland, show a receiver who can stress a secondary vertically and pull away after the catch with 276 yards after contact.The gap is between the traits and the production. He needed 97 targets to reach 662 yards, won only three of eleven contested balls, and put six throws on the ground, a sign of a receiver whose route detail and hands have not caught up to his physical tools. He wins on speed and size right now more than craft, and the efficiency has to climb for the profile to pay off. Curt Cignetti's Indiana program has a record of developing receivers, which makes the landing spot a genuine plus.
A vertical offense that schemes him clean releases and lets him run is the right setting, and a move to a more stable passing game at Indiana could unlock the next step. Overall, Marsh is a developmental boundary receiver with starter-caliber tools and real work ahead on the finer points, the kind of upside swing a team makes on Day 2 or early Day 3.
