- With a powerful lower body and the ability to hold up at the point of attack as a run defender, Jones is remarkably instinctive.
- Jones has the speed to be effective in pursuit, and he shows enough fluid athleticism that he might be able to transition to outside linebacker and hold up in coverage.
- He has prototypical size, with a little more room on his frame to add weight. Jones shows impressive quickness at the snap and plays at a good pad level.

- Uncreative pass rusher who lacks counter moves. Raw technique. Streaky and slow to react.
- He’ll need to add weight in order to play with a better anchor, but he’ll potentially be sacrificing athleticism and speed if Jones does.
