Scouting Report: Strengths
- Sanders combines good speed with his size, and Sanders accelerates off the line better than most big receivers.
- He blends good size and speed, as well as the competitive demeanor of a playmaker.
- He’s at his best working in space, showing the quickness and vision of a return specialist. His stop-start ability allows him to create initial separation.
- Possesses quick feet and straight-line speed but doesn't have the elite burst to be a constant big-play threat. Improving patience as a runner, following pulling guards and makes good decisions on his cut.
- Difficult to bring down one-on-one in space, regularly sidesteps would-be tacklers and uses offhand to use oncoming defenders' momentum against them without slowing down significantly.
- Sanders has the size and toughness to be developed as a pass protector.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s not physically imposing. Sanders is small-framed and won’t be able to carry much more weight.
- He can sometimes be impatient, not allowing his blocks to set up, a nuance required for backs to last a decade-plus.
- Sanders tends to get too upright at times, sacrificing power.
