Williams stepped into the Washington starting job and delivered one of the more productive dual-threat seasons in the Big Ten. Starting all 13 games in 2025, he completed 246 of 355 passes for 3,057 yards with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions, adding 611 rushing yards and six scores as the second-leading rusher on his own team.His signature game came against Rutgers, when he threw for 402 yards and two scores and ran for 136 yards and two more, becoming just the second Big Ten player ever to pass for 400 and rush for 100 in the same game, with 538 total yards setting a Washington single-game record.
He also carved up Washington State with a four-touchdown passing day. Williams earned honorable mention All-Big Ten, Washington's Offensive MVP award and LA Bowl offensive MVP honors, and returns to Seattle looking to build on the breakout.

However, his undersized frame raises real sightline and durability concerns, he holds the ball too long, taking 29 sacks, his execution dips once the primary read is taken away, and the deep-ball timing can be late.Overall, Williams needs to firm up his pocket discipline and prove the frame holds, but he offers rare mobility and a live arm worth molding in a movement-based, option-heavy offense that weaponizes his legs. He projects as a developmental quarterback, with the ceiling of a starter if the passing develops and the floor of a dual-threat backup.
