Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Ball placement is a strength. Daniels has the natural instincts to make plays when forced to improvise.
  • He thrives when he’s extending plays. He’s a loose athlete who should be able to clean up his mechanics at the next level. He’ll hang in and take big hits.
  • He plays with a confident demeanor and has the athleticism to move out of the pocket and create plays out of structure.
  • Daniels is enough of a threat as a runner to earn respect from back-side defenders at the next level, opening opportunities for running backs.
  • Picks up yards with his legs when needed.
  • Physically, Daniels is a natural athlete who plays with the balance and light feet to float in the pocket.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Daniels tends to hold the ball loosely and away from his body, putting him at risk for strip sacks.
  • He often holds the ball too long. While Daniels keeps his eyes up while moving, his mechanics get increasingly sloppy once he’s pushed off his spot.
  • He has to clean up his throwing motion when he’s on the move. Daniels was often too quick to pull the ball down and take off, and he seemed to have trouble sifting through moving parts in the middle of the field.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
