Draft Profile: Bio
Amir Jackson caught 86 passes for 1,437 yards and 17 touchdowns at Portal High School in Georgia and also averaged 13.7 points and 11.0 rebounds a game in basketball. Miami, Florida State, Georgia and Alabama all offered him as a four-star prospect.Jackson kept his redshirt in 2024 while appearing in four games. During an 11-game 2025 season he caught a touchdown on Florida's opening drive at Texas A&M on 11 October. He announced in December that he would transfer, but he changed his mind on 27 December after Florida hired tight ends coach Evan McKissack, who had first recruited him at Troy.
Jackson has seven catches for 133 yards and a touchdown in 2026, scoring against Ole Miss and making a 48-yard catch at Auburn. He has also dropped three passes and allowed a sack at Missouri as a blocker.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Big-play threat who averages 19 yards a catch this season
- Caught a 48-yard pass in the September game at Auburn
- Scored a touchdown in the September game against Ole Miss
- Elite speed for a tight end, which makes him a matchup problem
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Dropped three passes on 15 targets this season
- Very light for a tight end, which limits him as a blocker
- Gave up a sack at Missouri in pass protection
- Only a handful of catches before this season
- Nearly left Florida through the transfer portal in December
Scouting Report: Summary
Jackson is a fast, athletic tight end who can stretch the field. He averages 19 yards a catch this season, with a 48-yard grab at Auburn and a touchdown against Ole Miss. However, his slight build makes blocking a struggle, and Missouri got a sack against him. His hands have also been a problem, with three drops on 15 targets.
Overall, Jackson is a raw receiving tight end with an unusual speed profile. He projects as a priority free agent and could develop into a move tight end.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
