Anthony Evans III played football and ran track at Judson High School in Converse, Texas, setting school records with a 24-foot-2.75 long jump and a 10.27-second 100 meters, and he caught 66 passes for 880 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. He committed to Arkansas and Oklahoma as a four-star recruit before flipping to Georgia. His uncle, Anthony Malbrough, played in the NFL.Evans caught four passes as a freshman at Georgia in 2023, scoring his first touchdown on a 14-yard catch against Florida State in the Orange Bowl, and he was the Bulldogs' primary return specialist in 2024, when a hamstring injury cost him two games. He transferred to Mississippi State in January 2025 and led the team with 67 catches in 2025, third in the SEC, with more than 800 yards, four touchdowns and 365 yards after the catch.
