Artavius Jones drew national attention from Blountstown, a small town in the Florida Panhandle. He was a four-sport athlete at Blountstown High School, winning a Class 1A state weightlifting title, medaling in the shot put and playing basketball. A four-star recruit in the 2024 class, ranked No. 165 by 247Sports, he made 58 tackles, 14 behind the line, as a junior and had offers from Florida State, LSU, Oregon and Tennessee.Jones signed with Miami but played only 10 snaps over two seasons, appearing in one game against NC State in 2025. He entered the portal with three seasons of eligibility remaining, and UCF announced his signing on 28 January 2026.
Jones has been a depth player at UCF this season, behind more experienced linemen on the interior. His only recorded production is two assisted tackles in the 73-6 win over Bethune-Cookman.

- State champion weightlifter with rare strength for his age
- Drew offers from Florida State, LSU, Oregon and Tennessee
- Made 14 tackles for loss as a high school junior
- Massive frame that fits the nose tackle role in a 3-4
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Has played very little in three college seasons
- Played only 10 snaps in two years at Miami
- Only two assisted tackles at UCF this season
- Below-average speed and burst even for an interior defensive lineman
- No meaningful college film for teams to evaluate
Scouting Report: Summary
Jones is a powerful, raw interior lineman with a strong high school record. He won a state weightlifting title, was a four-star recruit and has a massive frame. However, he has barely played in college, with 10 snaps at Miami and two assisted tackles at UCF. He also lacks burst, and there is almost no film to evaluate.
Overall, Jones is a developmental prospect who needs to earn a role in college first. He projects as a priority free agent in theory but is very unlikely to enter the 2027 draft.

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects.
