Draft Profile: Bio
Brandon Inniss from American Heritage High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Inniss opted to join Ohio State.

In 2023 as a freshman Inniss saw action in 6 games for the Buckeyes as he made one reception for only 58 yards for an average of 58.0 yards per reception, with one TD, and QB rating when targeted of 81.9.

As a sophomore in 2024 he played just 3 games and had only 4 catches for 49 yards for an average of 12.3 yards per catch, with no TDs, and QB rating when targeted of 107.5.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Fits a zone system, can sift through oncoming traffic and explode through tiny creases and cutback lanes. Elite, darting stop-and-go acceleration. Dangerous in the open field.
  • Inniss has quick feet and good body control, allowing him to gear down and quickly get in and out of cuts. His hands are good, and he’s a creative runner after the catch with the elusiveness to slip tackles in space.
  • Thriving on physicality, he’s a contested-catch specialist with a knack for warding off defenders while the ball is in the air. He has strong hands and the ability to wrestle the ball away from defenders.
  • His long arms allow him to play bigger than his size, and Inniss has a frame that can carry a little more weight.
  • He has reliable hands and shows the willingness to make catches in traffic over the middle.
  • Does a nice job locating and tracking deep passes and is a legitimate vertical threat. Willing to go up and attack the ball.
  • Inniss was frequently put in catch-and-run situations, and he shows good vision with the ability to make tacklers miss in space. He’ll also break a tackle or two; he’s extremely competitive and will give effort as a downfield blocker.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Physically, Inniss profiles as a guy who should have success facing the quarterback, but he struggles to gear down and make the necessary sharp cuts to create separation underneath.
  • Inniss seems comfortable in traffic to the point where he doesn’t make the effort to create separation.
  • He also had problems with drops when coming back to the action. Inniss has some issues against press coverage, sometimes spending too much time hand fighting at the line of scrimmage.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
