A two-time Kansas 6A state champion at Derby High School, Dylan Edwards rushed for 6,426 yards and 95 touchdowns in his prep career and was named the 2021 Gatorade Kansas Player of the Year. A four-star recruit ranked among the nation's top 25 running backs, he committed to Notre Dame before flipping to Colorado.Edwards debuted in 2023 with four touchdowns against TCU and finished his freshman year with 324 rushing yards and 36 catches for 299 yards across 12 games. Transferring to Kansas State for 2024, he totaled 546 rushing yards, 133 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 7.4 yards per carry, and returned a punt for a score.
