Jahiem White carved out his reputation at York, Pennsylvania's William Penn Senior High, rushing for a school-record 5,780 career yards and twice earning All-State honors. The three-star recruit produced immediately at West Virginia, rushing for 842 yards as a 2023 freshman at a school-record 7.7 yards per carry, highlighted by 204 yards against Cincinnati, then added 845 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore.White's 2025 season lasted just two games. After opening with 93 yards and two touchdowns against Robert Morris, the preseason All-Big 12 selection ran for 40 yards and a score on six carries at Ohio before a horse-collar tackle late in the first half caused a knee injury that required surgery and ended his year. He finished his West Virginia career with 1,820 rushing yards.
In December, White entered the transfer portal and signed with North Texas for 2026, reuniting with Neal Brown, the head coach he played for during his first two seasons in Morgantown.
