Garcia was a heavily recruited high-school passer whose college career has been a winding one, from Miami to Missouri to East Carolina to Michigan, where he served as a deep backup in 2025 and appeared in a single blowout. The arm talent that made him a blue-chip recruit is still there, prototype pocket size and a live arm, and he has seen a wide range of systems and defenses.

He is a veteran pocket presence, and on the limited reps available he pushes the deep ball as his most productive level. Even in the best case the projection is a developmental camp arm, and the eligibility petition has to clear before any of the football evaluation carries real weight.
