A former rugby player, Jay plays with an extremely high motor and is a high effort player that is surprisingly athletic for a big guy. A versatile player that can play in a variety of different schemes, and one which is effective against both the pass and the run, A consistent performer for the Trojans he decided to opt out of the 2020 season to prepare for the draft. He does not have monster stats and there are questions as to his consistency and that will likely keep him out of the first round.
