Humphreys came from elite athletic stock, the son of two collegiate All-Americans in track, and was the fastest high schooler in Tennessee as a senior, breaking Jalen Ramsey's regional 200-meter record. A three-star out of Christ Presbyterian in Nashville, he signed with hometown Vanderbilt. He flashed as a freshman before transferring to Georgia, where he rated as one of the top receivers in the portal.Working in a deep Bulldog receiver room in 2025, Humphreys caught 18 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns across fourteen games.
