Scouting Report: Strengths
- Although Robinson is more of a possession target than a field stretcher, he fiercely competitive demeanor and run-after-catch ability make him a major threat in the middle of the field.
- Robinson accelerates quickly and possesses good straight-line speed. He shows solid ball-tracking skills and body control downfield, able to adjust to the off-target throw.
- His competitiveness and knack for high-pointing the ball allow him to play bigger than his size.
- He has reliable hands and shows the willingness to make catches in traffic over the middle.
- Robinson tracks the ball well downfield and consistently runs under long throws.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s not going to threaten to take the top off of a defense.
- Has only average height and overall length. Lacks initial burst off the line of scrimmage and has more build-up speed than track wheels. Limited explosiveness and flexibility and will struggle to separate against pro defensive backs
- Robinson also lacks suddenness as a route runner, and that is a potential issue at the next level.
- Physically, Robinson profiles as a guy who should have success facing the quarterback, but he struggles to gear down and make the necessary sharp cuts to create separation underneath.
