White became one of the most productive pass rushers in college football at San Diego State. Out of Eastlake High School, he broke out as a sophomore in 2024 with 12.5 sacks, fourth in the FBS, and 18.4 tackles for loss, fifth in the FBS, earning Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year.He followed it with another disruptive 2025, recording seven sacks and a nation-leading pressure total while again earning first-team All-Mountain West honors as a two-time all-conference pass rusher.
A 6-foot-2, 250-pound edge, White generated 51 pressures and 33 stops across 13 games in 2025, saving strong efforts for opponents like Wyoming. After the season he entered the transfer portal and committed to Texas Tech for 2026 to help replace departing edge production, taking his high-motor rush game to the Big 12, where he joins a Texas Tech front that lost significant edge production and offers an immediate path to snaps.

He led the nation in pressures in 2025 with 51 in 13 games and posted seven sacks, one year after a 12.5-sack, Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year sophomore campaign. He wins with a quick get-off, natural bend and increasingly refined hand work, turning the corner on tackles who cannot match his first step.The caveats are size and testing. He runs a below-average timed number and checks in at 250 pounds, so bigger tackles can wall him off in the run game, and the honest question is whether his get-off translates against Big 12 blockers now that he has transferred to Texas Tech. He also converted a lot of pressure into relatively few sacks, so the finish has to catch up to the disruption.
He fits an attacking defense that lets him pin his ears back as a designated rusher on passing downs. Overall, White projects as a rotational pass-rush specialist whose elite pressure production and bend give him a clear role, with the ceiling riding on the jump in competition and the strength to hold up on early downs. A team that schemes him as a designated rusher and lives with the run-game limits is getting one of the country's most productive rushers at a discount.
