As a sophomore in 2020 he played in 6 games and a total of 130 snaps. He conceded just 3 QB hurries, one QB hit, and one sack while playing most of his snaps at left tackle.

In 2021 as a junior Truss saw action in 12 games and totaled 187 snaps. He gave up just one QB hurry, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing at right guard.

In 2022 as a senior Truss saw action in 12 games and played a total of 627 snaps for the Bulldogs. He allowed 10 QB hurries, one QB hit, and no sacks while playing at left guard.

In 2023 as a fifth year senior Truss saw action in 13 games and played a total of 698 snaps for the Bulldogs. He allowed an unipressive 18 QB hurries, one QB hit, and 2 sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at tight tackle, and the rest at left guard.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • He’s a coordinated athlete who can win at the point of attack in the run game, and Truss can also move to consistently land blocks at the second level.
  • Plays with appropriate wide base and intelligence, instincts and agility to seal the edge. Aggressive extending with power to punch and looks comfortable in space.
  • Has the functional strength to hold up against the bull rush, and he shows exceptionally quick and precise hands.
  • Strong upper body, arms and hands. Coordinated feet with the flexibility for offensive tackle. Hard worker.
  • Truss is a work in progress with high-end physical traits. He’s extremely light on his feet for a 300-pounder, a natural knee bender who plays with balance and leverage.
  • Big athlete with good bulk and a filled-out frame. Stays balanced and doesn't overextend in pass protection. Stays disciplined with good bend and leverage.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Heavy-footed with limited lateral quickness. Stiff and looks like he's moving in wet cement in the open field.
  • Truss doesn’t have good enough feet to play left tackle at the next level, and his body type would make for a difficult switch to a guard spot.
  • Raw as a pass protector, looking choppy and unnatural when moving back into his set, often playing too upright.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
