Jermayne Lole from Long Beach Poly High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Lole joined Arizona State after being heavily recruited.In 2018 as a freshman Lole saw action in 11 games and played a total of 396 snaps for the Sun Devils. He recorded 16 tackles, 8 assists, while adding 7 stops. As a pass rusher, he added 11 total pressures, which included 4 QB hurries, 4 QB hits, and 3 sacks on the season.
As a sophomore for the Sun Devils in 2019 Lole played in 13 games and took part in 737 snaps for the Sun Devils. He recorded 38 tackles, 19 assists, while adding 38 stops. As a pass rusher, he chalked up 33 total pressures, and 18 QB hurries, 9 QB hits, and 6 sacks during the year.
In 2020 as a junior Lole played in 4 games and contributed on 258 snaps. He recorded 18 tackles, 2 assists while making 17 stops. As a pass rusher, he produced 18 total pressures, which included 12 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 4 sacks on the year.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Despite a bowling-ball build, Lole has good feet and agility, capable of working laterally down the line of scrimmage in pursuit.
- He’s a high-motor player, and he shows good enough hand use, as well as a tight spin move, to win as an edge rusher.
- Flashes exciting burst off the snap to penetrate. Can slip through gaps with his get-off and is an intimidating force for quarterbacks to avoid.
- Combines excellent power with initial quickness, but one of his best attributes are his violent hands, which he uses with impressive precision.
- He’s quick to react and locate the ball, and he shows enough speed to succeed in backside pursuit. Lole plays with excellent balance and a strong, flexible core, rarely ending up on the ground.
- He has pure power, which is emphasized by a good pad level. Lole can stand up at the point of attack and handle double teams, and he also has the ability to drive blockers back into the pocket with a bull rush.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- As a pass rusher, his hand use is inconsistent. He’s short on counter moves in the pass rush.
- He’s often slow to react and locate the ball against the run.
- Lole lacks suddenness as a mover, and Lole isn’t going to do much in the pass rush when working one-on-one.
