Top Wide Receivers 2022 NFL Draft

WIDE RECEIVER RANKING 2022 NFL DRAFT

Over the last few years, we have had an array of quality NFL-level talent available for easy picking, this year continues with this trend.

While the talent may be similar, however, the skillset is quite different. This year’s class (at least at the top) is on the whole quite a bit bigger than in previous years.

This is exemplified by the likely top prospect Garrett Wilson from Ohio State, who is listed at 6’ 0” but plays bigger. He isn’t a burner, but is smooth with great hands and will likely become a quality pro outside receiver. Chris Olave, also from Ohio State could well be the second wideout taken, he’s slightly faster than his teammate, but doesn’t have the power or supreme hands  - still,  he’s still a top prospect and easily dominate at the next level.

Teylon Burks from Arkansas is an athletic freak who has the speed of a wide receiver coupled with the size of a linebacker. But Teylon’s more than just an unpolished raw recruit, as he’s already been quite productive in his short Razorback career leading them with 50 plus receptions in 2020. The class's opinion after the top three then diverges, with scouts giving a wide range of grades to a number of top players, however think John Alabama’s John Metchie is the fourth-best prospect and could easily have the same success as other Tide receivers picked in 2020.
