Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets NFL Draft Prospects

Georgia Tech went 9-4 (6-2 ACC) in 2025, a season that split cleanly in two. The Yellow Jackets ripped off eight straight wins and cracked the first College Football Playoff rankings at 8-0, then dropped three of their final four, with a home loss to Pitt costing them a spot in the ACC Championship Game. The year ended with a 21-25 bowl defeat to BYU in which Tech led into the third quarter before a missed field goal swung it.

The defining offseason story is turnover at the top. Coach Brent Key (27-20 at the school) lost ACC Player of the Year quarterback Haynes King to graduation, watched offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner leave for Florida, and saw the quarterback earmarked to start in 2026, Aaron Philo, follow Faulkner out the door. In their place come new coordinator George Godsey, back from 15 years in the NFL, co-coordinator Chris Weinke, and new defensive coordinator Jason Semore, the fourth man in that chair in four years. Key rebuilt the roster aggressively through the portal, and the preseason consensus pegs Tech somewhere in the middle of the ACC, roughly sixth to eighth, with a national ranking in the low 40s.
