Scouting Report: Strengths
- Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
- Possesses quick feet and straight-line speed but doesn't have the elite burst to be a constant big-play threat. Improving patience as a runner, following pulling guards and makes good decisions on his cut.
- He’s patient, letting blocks develop then accelerating. Bennett runs with a good forward lean and consistently falls forward.
- Shows a surprising burst to beat linebackers to the edge. Can plant his foot in the ground and explode, showing better straight-line speed than expected.
- His vision is outstanding, and Bennett has an innate understanding of when to go and when to sit back and wait for blocks to develop. Bennett thrives as a one-cut back
- He’s a natural pass catcher who can be used on screen and swing passes, and he has the ability to flex out as a matchup chess piece.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s shaky in pass protection, capable of making the correct reads but too reliant on cut blocks. When Bennett does stay on his feet, he too often ducks his head and lunges.
- As a runner, he too often looks to bounce outside and make the big play, rather than pick his way through traffic.
- Bennett sometimes get too upright and fails to run behind his pads.
