Bryant Wesco Jr. arrived at Clemson from Midlothian, Texas, as a consensus top-35 national recruit with athletic bloodlines. His father is a Louisiana Tech Hall of Fame triple jumper, and Wesco placed fifth in the triple jump at the Texas 5A state meet. He recorded 109 catches for 1,903 yards and 29 touchdowns across his prep career.As a true freshman in 2024, Wesco caught 41 passes for 708 yards and five touchdowns across 12 games. His 17.3-yard average was the best by a Clemson player with 40-plus catches since Tee Higgins in 2019. He earned Freshman All-American honors from multiple outlets and posted a 143-yard, two-touchdown effort in the ACC Championship Game against SMU.
His 2025 sophomore season was tracking toward a major step forward before a spinal contusion on a punt return against SMU in Week 8 shut him down. Through six full games, Wesco had 31 catches for 537 yards and a team-high six touchdowns, including back-to-back 100-yard outings against Troy and at Georgia Tech. He became just the fourth Tiger to reach 1,000 career receiving yards in 15 games. He has recovered fully and will return for 2026.

The speed is plus, the releases are clean, and the downfield ball skills are genuine.Health and strength are the questions. The seven-game sample limits how much a team can bank on, his 185-pound frame gets rerouted and outmuscled by physical corners, and five drops in that window are a higher rate than his talent should allow. A shutout against SMU is a reminder that he can be taken out of a game when he cannot win cleanly off the line.
