Draft Profile: Bio
Bryce West won back-to-back state titles at Glenville High School in Cleveland and was a MaxPreps junior All-American in 2022, when he made four interceptions and did not allow a touchdown pass. A four-star recruit and Under Armour All-American, he also clocked 10.57 seconds in the 100 meters and ran on a state-champion relay team.

West redshirted at Ohio State in 2024 while appearing in seven games, including three in the College Football Playoff. He was a reserve in eight games in 2025, making 10 tackles and forcing a fumble on 91 defensive snaps. He left Ohio State through the portal at the start of 2026 and picked Wisconsin on 6 January.

West has been Wisconsin's starting nickel this season. He made five tackles and four stops against Eastern Michigan, allowed one catch on five targets at Penn State and intercepted a pass against USC, though he missed four tackles in that game.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Elite speed backed by a 10.57 time in the 100 meters
  • Intercepted USC's quarterback in an October home game
  • Allowed one catch on five targets in the game at Penn State
  • Strong run defender for a nickel, with 17 stops this season
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Eight missed tackles this season, including four against USC
  • Quarterbacks have completed 29 of 40 throws against him
  • Gave up a touchdown against USC in October
  • Lightly used at Ohio State before starting at Wisconsin this year
  • Western Illinois caught all five passes thrown his way
Scouting Report: Summary
West is a fast, physical nickel who took over the slot job at Wisconsin this season. He tackles well against the run, with 17 stops, and he picked off a pass against USC.

However, receivers catch most balls thrown his way, and he missed four tackles against USC. He had barely played at Ohio State before taking this job.

Overall, West has the speed and toughness to play inside but needs more polish. He projects as a priority free agent with time to develop if he returns.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
