Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Dixon aggressively finishes runs and consistently falls forward in a crowd. His low pad level and a bit of wiggle keep him from absorbing big hits.
  • He does a nice job with recognition as a pass protector and gives good effort.
  • He brings a nice blend of power and passing game skills. He has a compact build and a naturally low center of gravity, and Dixon runs with excellent balance through traffic, allowing him to squeeze through for yardage.
  • He’s patient, letting blocks develop then accelerating. He runs with a good forward lean and consistently falls forward.
  • He shows good vision and good explosion upfield once he plants his foot. Dixon has lateral movement skills and enough speed to threaten big plays. He’s excellent in the passing game, capable of flexing out as a receiver and creating mismatches against linebackers, and he’s a solid back in the screen game.
  • His passing game skills are strong. He’s a natural hands catcher who turns upfield quickly in the screen game, and he shows a great feel for setting up wheel routes.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Not the most instinctive runner and too often tries for the big play, dancing and losing yards. Lacks the natural power to push the pile and feels more comfortable avoiding contact.
  • Dixon has a slight build, especially for a running back, and Dixon isn’t going to grind out yardage between the tackles, as he lacks power and runs with a fairly high pad level.
  • His hands are good, but he doesn’t show much feel as a route runner and might not be a guy you flex out wide.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
