Scouting Report: Strengths
- Niblett also proved to be a force in catch-and-run situations. A violent runner who transitions upfield quickly after the catch, Niblett has the speed to pick up chunks of yardage once he’s broken the first tackle.
- Shows quickness off the snap to shake off corners and create room. Separates with hesitation moves and nice acceleration.
- Tracks the ball well downfield and shows good ball skills, including the ability to go up and high-point it in contested-catch situations.
- He’s coordinated with soft, reliable hands, and he shows the ability to adjust to balls thrown behind him, as well as a knack for digging out low throws.
- He’s also a catch-and-run threat, a creative runner who has good vision in the open field; he’ll be an option to return kicks as well.
- Has elite speed and cutting ability and good hands and toughness. Lacks the ideal size, but has a similar body type to Antonio Brown.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Needs to refine his routes and become a better all-around receiver. Has some ball security concerns. Durability concerns because of his size.
- Lacks much bulk on his body and will be outmuscled at the next level against physical defenders.
- Physically, Niblett profiles as a guy who should have success facing the quarterback, but he struggles to gear down and make the necessary sharp cuts to create separation underneath.
