Draft Profile: Bio
Following high school, Clark opted to join Liberty.

In 2019 as a freshman Clark saw action in 13 games and played a total of 620 snaps at cornerback for the Flames. He recorded 36 tackles, 2 assists, while adding 7 stops. In coverage Clark notched up 5 pass breakups, no interceptions, and a QB rating when targetted of 103.9.

After the end of the season he transferred to Louisville where as a sophomore for the Cardinals in 2020 Clark played in 10 games and logged 541 snaps for the Cardinals. He made 30 tackles, 4 assists, and had 10 stops. In coverage he totaled 7 pass breakups, one interception, and QB rating when targetted of 59.8.

In 2021 as a junior Clark played in 8 games and contributed on 518 snaps. He chalked up 41 tackles, 3 assists, and added 18 stops. In the secondary Clark forced 9 pass breakups, 3 interceptions, and gave up QB rating when targetted of 75.3.

In 2022 as a senior Clark saw action in 12 games while playing 771 snaps. He logged 44 tackles, 7 assists, and made 17 stops. In coverage Clark had 2 pass breakups, one interception, and surrendered a QB rating when targetted of 107.8.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Trusts his eyes with very good awareness. Has very good reaction skills to break quickly on the ball.
  • Stays low in his backpedal and shows the click-and-close ability to break up plays in front of him. Clark can move well laterally and shows excellent instincts when looking into the backfield in zone coverage.
  • Can get up under a receiver’s chin and has the speed to flip his hips and run downfield. He has the quick and surprisingly powerful hands to jostle receivers early. But he’s at his best peeking into the backfield.
  • Clark has the straight-line speed to recover. His ball skills are tremendous, with good hands and the potential to take it to the house any time Clark gets his hands on the ball.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Gave up far too many big plays in college, especially concerning since he has the recovery speed to make up for missteps.
  • Doesn’t bring much physicality, as he seems unsure about moving downhill as a run defender and doesn’t deliver much pop as a tackler.
  • At this point, he can get outmuscled. Clark also might be susceptible to catch and- run plays. He’ll give effort in run support, but he’s going to struggle to get off blocks against physical outside receivers.
  • Liability against the run. Clark gives effort but doesn’t have the power as a tackler or the ability to slip blocks.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
