Draft Profile: Bio
Tarrion Grant was an all-state athlete at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, catching 29 passes for 462 yards and eight scores and making 36 tackles in his final season. He was named the 2023 region athlete of the year and ran the 100 meters in 10.71 seconds. Rated the top prospect in Tennessee, he reclassified into the 2024 class, enrolled early and held offers from Alabama, LSU, Oregon and Miami.Grant began at Purdue, where he made three starts across 11 games and recorded 13 tackles as a freshman. Texas Tech became his second school in 2025, and he appeared six times as a reserve, but an undisclosed injury sidelined him for four Big 12 games before he returned on 22 October.
Grant has had a minor role in 2026. The only production recorded for him is a pair of tackles against Sam Houston on 26 September, and Texas Tech has not explained why his snaps are so limited.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Elite sprinter speed, with a 10.71 time in the 100 meters
- Long, athletic build that fits an outside cornerback role
- Made three starts as a true freshman in the Big Ten
- Rated the top recruit in Tennessee coming out of high school
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Two recorded tackles across the whole 2026 season so far
- Sat out four Big 12 games with an injury during 2025
- Has not made a start since his freshman year at Purdue
- Needs to add weight to match his height on the outside
- Limited defensive tape since leaving Purdue after one season
Scouting Report: Summary
Grant is a long, fast cover man who was the top recruit in his state. He is a sprinter by trade and started three games as a freshman at Purdue. However, his role has shrunk since then, with two tackles this season, and an injury sidelined him for four games in 2025. He needs more weight, and there is little recent tape to judge.
Overall, Grant is a raw athlete who has yet to find a steady role. He projects as a priority free agent in theory, though staying in Lubbock makes more sense.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
