Draft Profile: Bio
On3 and the 247Sports Composite both rated Casey Poe the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class coming out of Lindale High School in Texas. Under Armour named him an All-American, and he won the 2022 Class 4A state shot put championship at 57 feet 4 inches. Alabama beat out Oklahoma, Georgia and LSU for his signature.Through two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Poe has appeared in four games as a reserve and has not started. Coaches value his ability to play all three interior spots, and he was twice the offensive scout team player of the week. He carries a big frame for a guard.
Poe began 2026 listed third at right guard, behind Michael Carroll and Ethan Fields. He has not logged a recorded snap this fall, which leaves scouts with only a handful of reserve appearances to review. As a junior, he has eligibility to return to Alabama in 2027.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Rated the top interior lineman nationally in the 2024 class
- Won a Texas state shot put title with a 57-foot throw
- Versatile enough to handle all three interior line positions
- Twice named Alabama's scout team player of the week
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Just four appearances in two years on the Alabama roster
- Third on the depth chart at right guard this season
- No snaps recorded for him in any game this fall
- Still waiting on his first career start in Tuscaloosa
- Leaves scouts with almost no college film to study
Scouting Report: Summary
Poe was among the most highly rated interior linemen in the nation and a state champion in the shot put. He can play guard or center. However, he has appeared in just four college games and has not been on the field this season. Sitting third on the depth chart, he offers almost nothing to evaluate.
Overall, Poe is a talented but unproven lineman. He projects as a priority free agent in theory, with a return to Alabama the clear next step.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
