A former tight end recruit, Pieper broke through at Iowa in 2025, starting all thirteen games at right guard and earning first-team All-America honors as a cornerstone of the Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line.He allowed just one sack all season and paired the movement of a converted skill player with farm-built play strength on a dominant run-blocking front.
For 2026 he moved to center to replace departed pivot Logan Jones and returned as a preseason first-team All-American, one of only two returning starters up front and the anchor of a rebuilt Iowa line.
