Draft Profile: Bio
Dakoda Fields grew up in Compton, California, and starred at Junipero Serra in Gardena, finishing his senior season with 42 tackles, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups. ESPN slotted him No. 69 in the country, he suited up in the Polynesian Bowl as well as the Adidas All-American Bowl, and he ran the 200 meters in 22.10 seconds.Fields signed with Oregon and redshirted in 2024 after a leg injury before the season, which he has called a torn ACL. He appeared in a handful of games in 2025 before leaving the team in early November, with Dan Lanning saying he did not come to work. Oregon later sued him in May 2026 for $10,000 plus interest over an unpaid revenue-share buyout, and the case is pending.
Fields committed to Oklahoma in January 2026 and has said he expects to play two seasons there. He has been a reserve behind the starters this fall, with two tackles, including one in the loss at Georgia.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Elite speed for a big cornerback, with a top-tier forty time
- Ranked 69th nationally by ESPN coming out of high school
- Ran the 200 meters in 22.10 seconds in high school
- Plans to spend two seasons developing at Oklahoma, he says
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Walked away from the Oregon program in November 2025
- Oregon sued him over an unpaid buyout, and the case is pending
- Says he tore his ACL before his first college season
- Only two tackles this season in a reserve role
- Yet to make a start in two college programs
Scouting Report: Summary
Fields is a big, fast cornerback who ranked among California's best recruits. His size and speed fit what teams want on the outside. However, he left Oregon in the middle of the 2025 season, the school has sued him, and he says he tore his ACL before his first year. He is a reserve at Oklahoma with two tackles.
Overall, Fields has physical tools but serious questions about his history and production. He projects as a priority free agent in theory and intends to stay at Oklahoma.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
