Draft Profile: Bio
Hogan Hansen won Class 3A state titles at Bellevue High School in Washington in 2021 and 2023 and was the 2023 KingCo defensive MVP. His senior line included 11 catches for 224 yards and four touchdowns plus six sacks on defense. He took part in the Polynesian Bowl, lettered in basketball and held offers from Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Miami and Washington.

As a 2024 freshman, Hansen caught seven passes for 78 yards and one score over 10 appearances and was voted Michigan's offensive rookie of the year. Injuries held him to four games in 2025, when he caught six passes for 74 yards and made the Academic All-Big Ten team.

An undisclosed injury sidelined Hansen for Michigan's first two games this fall. Since his return against UTEP, he has caught 14 of 17 targets for 130 yards, including five grabs against Indiana and two for 31 yards against Penn State, and he started in the 28-21 victory at Rutgers on 31 October.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Caught 14 of 17 targets this season with no drops
  • Five receptions against Indiana, his busiest day this season
  • Started the 28-21 victory at Rutgers on 31 October
  • Named Michigan's offensive rookie of the year in 2024
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Sat out Michigan's opening two games with an undisclosed injury
  • Injuries limited him to four games in 2025
  • Light for a tight end asked to block on the line
  • Struggled in pass protection on his limited blocking snaps
  • No touchdown receptions since his 2024 freshman season
Scouting Report: Summary
Hansen is a reliable, athletic receiving tight end who has worked his way back into Michigan's lineup. He has caught almost everything thrown his way this season and earned a start at Rutgers.

However, injuries have cut into both of his last two seasons, and he is light for an inline role. He has not caught a touchdown since 2024.

Overall, Hansen is a sure-handed receiving tight end with durability questions. He projects as a priority free agent who could return to Michigan for another year.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
