Draft Profile: Bio
Jamari Howard started his high school career at Hialeah Westland and finished at Norland in Miami, where his final team posted a 14-1 record and played for the Class 2M state title. He made 50 tackles, 10 of them behind the line, in his last season, and he placed seventh at the 2023 Class 3A state meet in the 400 meters. ESPN ranked him No. 120 nationally, he received an All-American Bowl invitation, and after backing out of a Michigan State pledge he chose Florida State over Florida.

Howard did not play in 2024. His two appearances in 2025 produced one tackle and a pass breakup, both against Kent State.

No 2026 statistics have been found for Howard, a redshirt sophomore. When he signed, he said he felt he could probably play at Florida State. His long speed is the trait that stands out, but he has yet to turn it into a role in the secondary.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Elite forty time and a sprinter's background in the 400 meters
  • Former ESPN 300 recruit and an All-American Bowl invitee
  • Part of a Norland team that went 14-1 and played for a title
  • Broke up a pass in his limited action against Kent State
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Just one tackle in two appearances over three seasons
  • No statistics on record for him through the 2026 season
  • Did not appear in a single game during 2024
  • Has not earned a role in the Florida State secondary
  • Almost no college film for scouts to study
Scouting Report: Summary
Howard is a fast cornerback with a track background who was a top-120 national recruit. He made a play on the ball against Kent State in 2025.

However, he has played in only two college games and has one tackle, and there are no statistics for him this season.

Overall, Howard is a raw cornerback with good tools and almost no experience. He projects as a priority free agent on traits, with more time at Florida State the likelier step.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
